‘Snow Queen’

This exhibition was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's beautiful fairy tale of 'The Snow Queen'. The drawings and paintings largely feature the world as might be experienced by Gerda, the herione of the story. Her encounters with animals and people she meets on her difficult journey to rescue her friend Kai inspired gentle drawings such as 'The Reindeer's Tears', to the more comical 'Lapp Woman with Cod'.
